You know, I used to enjoy playing Tetris as a kid but having to test the billions of clones of the game that appear on all the various mobile platforms has put me off a bit.
It's nice when you get one that's a bit original and adds something new to the format of the game. Unfortunately, the bizzarely-named Plinth Chakra isn't one of these.
In fact it's a pretty poor copy of the original.
Yes, the addictive nature of the classic block-matching game is still there, but its execution isn't as good as it could be.
The graphics are colourful enough but the blocks are all the same style and there aren't any background images to liven things up. The animation is a bit jerky too, which soon becomes off-putting.
The control system is a little weird too. Unlike the orginal where you can rotate the chunks of blocks through 360 degrees, Plinth Chakra only lets you turn the pieces 180 degrees and you need to press a separate button to change the order of the blocks.
